We did some fun pumpkin crafts this week and got our Halloween goodie box from Steve's mom! It's always a good day when boxes come from Ohio or Florida!
I saw a craft of a spider made from handprints and thought it would look cute on pumpkins. I decided to paint our pumpkins white first and then put Bella and Evelyn's handprints on each one.
Thank goodness Mel was home this afternoon, because it would have been a very messy disaster without her! It was still very messy, but at least it was a cute success!
I got "googly eyes" at Wal-Mart for $.97 and used Mel's stash of acrylic paints, so it was a really inexpensive project, too. (Always a win!) Bella listened to instructions really well, and we just crossed our fingers for Evelyn! Here they are!
Bella did a great job at keeping her fingers still while Mel pressed them on the pumpkin! I thought we were going to have black paint smeared all over the place.
I used scrapbooking letters to add their names; we'll see if they make it to Halloween. Trying to line up Evelyn's fingers was quite the experience!
Goodies from Grandma! Mom sent a box of matching skeleton PJ's, Halloween shirts, and leggings for the girls. Thursday is Orange Day at Bella's preschool and her new Halloween bat shirt from Grandma will be perfect! Oh, and there was candy in the box, too!
Look at them in their cute PJ's! (Or as Bella calls them..."bajamas") I'm not sure why Bella is looking so silly in this picture, but at least she was smiling willingly!
Little squirt is drooling up a storm lately! We really need those teeth to come in!
Bella and her pumpkin. She was so proud of it, and she got to show it off to Grandma and Grandpa when we Skyped tonight!
