Fun At The Beach!

I don't have all of my Mother's Day pictures yet, but I do have some of our fun at the beach. We've taken dinner out to the beach the last two nights, and it's so beautiful to sit there and eat. Bella loved dragging us down to the water as soon as we were all done!

Such a  great ending to Mother's Day...walking on the beach with Steve and the girls!

After playing in the water for a little bit, we met Papa, Mimi, and Rachel on Venice Avenue for gelato. Yum!

Steve left this morning to spend the week in Tampa. It's been a pretty good day so far - I actually got to lay in the sun all by myself for about an hour while the girls were napping this afternoon. I don't think I've done that for over a year! We grilled burgers and had corn on the cobb out at the beach for dinner.

It's been a relaxing trip so far and so nice to fit in with mom and dad's "real life"; normally, we're trying to pack a ton of activities into a holiday weekend! Being here for two weeks gives us a lot of time to just be normal and hang out. Looking forward to the next couple of weeks!

Birthday Party Pictures Are Here!

We got our pictures from Ellen last week and I love them! She did such a great job taking pictures of the party and all of our little guests! I'm adding a ton of pictures, so I'll try and break them down a little...

DECORATIONS

I did a pink ombre theme, and it was just so much fun! The cherry trees in our yard only bloom for a few weeks in Spring, and they were blooming during the party. We had pink flowers everywhere, pink food, tissue paper balls hanging from the ceiling, and bunches of balloons in different pink tones.

 FAMILY

Since Ellen was there to take pictures, we were able to get a few "official" pictures of our family together...

FRIENDS

We were blessed to have so many friends celebrate with us! Last year, scheduling conflicts made Bella's party a little bit of a lonely event (I think only one friend could make it to the park), so I was so excited that we had a big group this year!

BEAUTIFUL ART
Ella's mama, Jennifer, is a wonderfully talented artist, and she agreed to come and do an art project with all of the kids! She taped each of their names to their own canvas, and the kids could paint over the tape as controlled or chaotically as they liked! When the paint dried, you just pulled up the tape, and the outline of the child's name was there. It was a huge hit and the kids loved being able to paint however they wanted!

CAKE AND PRESENTS
I was so proud of the cake! I baked different cakes for the girls, but they were the same design for each. I loved how the ombre turned out!

What a great party! It was like Christmas - planning for weeks ahead of time and it was all over in an hour! We had such a fun day celebrating our beautiful girls and how much joy they bring to our lives!
