The Pumpkin Patch

Look at me! I'm actually posting something that happened today! (Pause for a little victory dance!)

We went to a pumpkin patch today. What is it about green grass, blue skies, and orange pumpkins that seem really idyllic?

(In reality, the pumpkin patch was in a church's front yard, no one ever came out to greet us, and since we didn't want to steal the pumpkins, we ended up leaving with no pumpkins. Bella collapsed in the field at the thought of deserting her pumpkin.)

BUT! Believe it or not, we had a lot of fun running around the pumpkin patch and choosing the perfect one. We revived the girls with a snack at La Carreta's and stopped by Kroger to pick out their real pumpkins.

I'm a girl who loves a theme, and Grandma never fails to come through in October with Halloween PJ's and cute shirts! (By the way, mom, the candy is already gone.)

Look how beautiful the little shnoodles are!

This one did not make it on Instragram. (Ha!)

All of them are smiling, but not all of them are looking...

Success! Everyone's looking AND everyone's smiling!

I just like this one because Henry's smiling at Bella.

And this is how we revived as a family after the crushing blow of leaving without pumpkins...our order at La Carreta's was chips & salsa, tostones with guacamole, and a brownie sundae. (Dinner of champions!) It was sooooo good!

#ThrowbackThursday

Since this blog is just my fun record for our family, I've decided to just do one, mashed up post that covers the last couple of months. It makes me a little sad, knowing I'll probably leave out some cute pictures, or forget to write down a memory, but the longer I stay away from this blog, the more overwhelming it gets.

With birthdays, Halloween, and the other holidays coming up, I don't want to end up skipping those, too.

I feel like it's better in the long run to start fresh, and go from here! Which means, once again, this post will include a ton of pictures, including the girls' first day of school, some of Henry's "month" pictures, and family pictures in between.
