Halloween Decorations

Saw an idea in my Martha Stewart magazine to create my own spider web on the wall. I did a larger version and loved it! Then I cut out a spider that I printed off the computer. The end result was really cool and I'm excited to see how Bella reacts to it in the morning. Here's a picture from close-up and a little farther back in the room.

Bella's Carousel Ride

Going to try and post the video of Bells on the carousel. She's actually not in it very much, but it's still fun to see her riding. This sounds odd, but she's in a yellow top and shows up at 7 seconds and 20 seconds. :) Keep an eye out for her!

State Fair

We took Bella to the state fair on Saturday night. It was wicked hot, but we had a good time! There was a petting zoo, a carousel, and all of the usual fair goodies. We walked around for about an hour and a half and looked at all the various games.

Our family shot in front of the funnel cake stand. It's just not a fair without funnel cakes!

Yummy french fries and ketchup! She loves all things dipped in ketchup!

I think she was a little disappointed that there was glass between her and the baby chicks.

She loved the horses, cows, and goats!

She loved the carousel! When the horse started moving, she went, "Oooooooooo!"

Copy-Cat

I'm sure it won't last long that Bella will want to do things that I'm doing, but last night was precious! I was sitting on the brick fireplace after dinner and had a blanket covering my legs. Bella walked across the room and sat down next to me on the brick. While I was talking to friends, she reached over and pulled part of my blanket over her lap. Then she looked at me and smiled. It was so cute! Our friend, Melissa, was able to get a quick shot on her iPhone.

Softball on a Saturday Night

Mel's small group had a softball game on Saturday, so we decided to make it a family affair. We brought a blanket and some snacks and cheered Mel on! Bella even met some friends - there was a boy about 8 or 9 who kept coming over to our blanket to play with her. He wouldn't tell us his name because he said he "didn't know us" but he spent most of the night playing near Bella and feeding her snacks. It was really cute. I was a little nervous when he touched her food with his grubby little "boy hands" but I decided that's what vaccinations are for! Plus, Bella loved it.

It's a good thing Fal weather is coming, because Bella is clearly growing out of her summer clothes.

Happenings

It has been a pretty low-key week for us so far. It's been a very good week with the babies; no sniffly noses or crying fits. This week is Steve's first class of his last semester. We are extremely excited about the prospect of being done with school forever! Bella is trotting around the house like usual and learning new words. I think she can say "thank you" but it sounds nothing like the actual word; it sounds more like "tsh." I had to include a picture of her rockin' a headband. She hates them and usually pulls them off right away, but I had to keep the hair out of her eyes.

Lunch with Daddy

I didn't have any extra babies today, so it was just me and Bells! We decided to bring a picnic lunch to daddy. There's a little park near Steve's bank where we could sit at a picnic table and then walk down by the water. Bella loved checking out the water and pointing at the ducks!
